Reagan foundation cries ‘misrepresentation’ on ad that ended talks

by admin477351

The Ronald Reagan  Presidential Foundation is crying “misrepresentation” over a Canadian  ad that has led president Trump to end all trade talks with Ottawa.

The foundation said the ad, from Ontario, used “selective audio” from a 1987 speech without permission. Trump cited this criticism in his own post.

Trump called the ad “fraudulent” and “fake,” accusing Canada of “egregious behavior” and ending negotiations.

The ad was launched by Ontario premier  Doug Ford to fight back against 35% US tariffs. Ford defended the ad’s message of cooperation.

The suspension of talks, confirmed by secretary of state Marco Rubio, threatens a massive trade relationship, as over 75% of Canadian  exports go to the US.
