Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Türkiye have formalized their commitment to enhancing defense cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding known as the ‘Badr’ pact. This agreement is designed to bolster their defense industries and improve collaborative capabilities in defense manufacturing.

The ‘Badr’ pact aims to foster technological development and increase production capacities to meet the needs of allied and friendly nations. By doing so, it is expected to strengthen military-industrial ties among the four countries and promote regional security and stability.

In addition to enhancing defense manufacturing capabilities, the agreement sets a framework for the participating countries to pursue joint defense and economic objectives. The pact also opens the possibility for other friendly nations to join, contingent on criteria set by the initial signatories.

This multilateral cooperation seeks to expand the scope of defense collaboration beyond traditional alliances, aiming to create a more integrated approach to regional security and technological advancement in defense sectors.
