In a recent meeting in Bangkok, business leaders from Qatar and Thailand have explored avenues to bolster their trade and investment partnerships. The discussions were led by Mohammed bin Twar Al Kuwari, First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber, alongside key figures from the Board of Trade of Thailand, including Songsang Patavanich and Jarudol Tulayakijja. The meeting focused on enhancing trade cooperation and exploring new investment opportunities, with an emphasis on the role of business organizations in facilitating these partnerships.

Al Kuwari emphasized the robust economic ties between Qatar and Thailand, highlighting that bilateral trade had reached approximately QR12.4 billion in 2025. He underscored the significance of private-sector collaboration to drive future growth, advocating for strategic partnerships and investment initiatives in promising sectors. This outlook was shared by the Thai representatives, who expressed a strong commitment to deepening economic relations with Qatar.

Both parties recognized the vital role chambers of commerce play in connecting businesses and promoting joint ventures. They discussed the importance of sharing market expertise and identifying new investment opportunities that can sustain long-term economic cooperation.
