Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, recently engaged in separate telephone discussions with foreign ministers from the United Kingdom, Qatar, and Kuwait. These conversations focused on the latest regional developments and collaborative efforts to enhance security and stability in the region.
In a call with the UK’s newly appointed Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, Prince Faisal extended congratulations on his new role and expressed optimism for strengthened bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. The two ministers explored ways to bolster their countries’ cooperation, particularly in supporting regional and international security initiatives.
Prince Faisal also spoke with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. In these discussions, the ministers underscored the importance of ongoing coordination to maintain stability across the region.
Additionally, the talks included a unified condemnation of recent attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and other nations in the area by Iran and militias backed by Iran. The ministers reiterated their commitment to addressing these threats and working together to promote peace and security in the region.
