Qatar Pledges Continued Assistance to Lebanon and Mali in Diplomatic Talks

Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, engaged in crucial discussions with leaders from Lebanon and Mali to address pressing regional issues and enhance bilateral cooperation. In a call with Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri, Al Khulaifi expressed grave concerns over the ongoing violence affecting Lebanon. He condemned the Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, emphasizing that these actions breach international law and pose a severe threat to regional peace and stability.

Al Khulaifi labeled the Israeli operations as a violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities. He urged all parties to fully adhere to the existing ceasefire agreement and stressed the importance of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Furthermore, he called on the international community to take robust measures to halt these violations and safeguard Lebanon’s territorial integrity. In another diplomatic engagement, Al Khulaifi spoke with Mali’s Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop.
